Strom Minnesota is currently looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker for our client in the north metro. The hours for this position are 6:am-3:15pm M-Th & 6:am-11:am on Fri.
Job Summary:
The Cabinet Maker position will encompass operation of woodworking machines, use of hand tools, prepare measurements of interior space, and the ability to read and understand shop drawings.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment such as handsaws, table saw, skill saws, and a variety of drills and sanding tools.
- Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently, and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions.
- Regularly monitors cabinetry process to ensure efficient manufacturing.
- Maintain quality standards of cabinetry produced.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Ability to work as a part of a team and can communicate well with other departments and personnel
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and saws
- Understanding of necessary mathematics
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cabinetry experience preferred
- At least two years related experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to pass drug testing
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times
