Strom Minnesota is currently looking for an Electro/Mechanical Assembler for our client in Chaska, MN. Hours for this position are 8:am-4:30pm M-F.
Technical assembly
- Position Summary
- Perform mechanical and electronic assembly of all company products, glue and pot all products as required, calibrate and test subassemblies as required, package and ship products as required.
- Operating responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly
- Assemble circuit boards and components into enclosures and housings. Placement and orientation as shown in procedures or as directed. Assemble brackets, sensors, discs, wraps and other products as required or directed
- Punch, drill, and tap enclosures to house PCS products and pilot devices such as relays, lights, and switches as shown in procedures, drawings, or as directed.
- Electronic/Electrical assembly
- Assemble electronic circuit boards (through hole) and subassemblies per procedures or as directed. Assemble boards as efficiently as possible. Assemble components to boards with all parts flush to the board, oriented correctly, neat bends on leaded components as required. Clean solder joints, heated correctly with good flow through.
- Install, label, and wire components in control panels as shown in procedures or drawings.
- Product calibration
- Document and maintain documentation on calibration procedures for all PCS products and subassemblies.
- Using established procedures, or as directed, perform calibration/test work on subassemblies and final products using established procedures or as directed.
- Mechanical assembly
- Record calibration data on job documentation as required.
- Perform tests and document condition of returned goods. Repair same as directed.
- Shipping/ packaging
- Pull parts as required for orders
- Confirm all parts and documentation are correct and sign initial sales document.
- Create and apply labels as required both on the product and the packaging materials.
- Maintain box, tape, and peanut inventory
- Epoxy
- Responsible for epoxy inventory including requisitioning material, rotating stock by date, providing any special care for epoxy such as rotating containers to prevent settling.
- Neatly glue all products avoiding drips, smears, and other appearance defects
