The Supervisor of Substation Engineering & Electrical Equipment. The Supervisor provides work direction and acts as a technical resource for the Substation & Electrical Equipment Engineering group by coordinating and overseeing the activities related to engineering, construction and maintenance of energy substations. The Supervisor directs the engineering, inspection, and preventative maintenance of all special electrical equipment in order to assist the company in providing reliable and efficient power; and implements engineering strategies to support the corporate direction and goals.

Key Responsibilities & Results:
- Direct the engineering, construction, maintenance and operation of substations to ensure service reliability, safety, and to maximize the life of the equipment.
- Develop and oversee the proactive substation maintenance plan in coordination with an aging infrastructure plan to maximize the life of the equipment and to ensure substation reliability.
- Direct electrical system line distribution equipment engineering, maintenance, and testing to ensure reliability of the equipment.
- Provide day-to-day work direction to employees.
- Perform other department/group related tasks to ensure a high-quality team and effective department.
Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Five years’ progressive experience in various aspects of electric distribution utility engineering
- Project management/leadership experience with large electric utility projects
- Specific experience in substation engineering, distribution automation, and distribution equipment and controls
- Current and valid driver’s license
Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
- Supervisory training
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
