Strom Minnesota is currently looking for a Production Manager for our client in Delano, MN.
Job Purpose:
The Production Manager manages the shop operations, including equipment needs, scheduling, supervision and training of employees, implementation and enforcement of safety and quality programs.
Essential Job Functions / Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage Shop Personnel (orientation and training)
- Monitor equipment needs and recommend changes/upgrades as appropriate
- Conduct daily/weekly meetings to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Develop and enforce proper procedures
- Maintain employee morale
- Monitor and correct operation of equipment
- Operating heavy equipment, such as industrial saws, cranes, forklift
- Maintain knowledge of code and safety requirements/regulations
- Plan installations and service work
- Document / analyze rework issues
- Document safety issues / ”near misses”
- Quality inspections
- Manage Job bins
- Manage inventory/shop supply needs
- Assist customers with technical questions and parts orders
