Basic Function
The Manufacturing Technician I (MT-I) is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to Operations and Engineering.
1.1 Responsibilities Read mechanical drawings and electric schematics to ensure product specification and tolerances are met. Troubleshoot equipment, manage calibration and preventive maintenance processes; which include process documentation and production records. Equipment programming, setup and operation for manufacturing to ensure product specifications are met. Perform mechanical assembly and fabrication. Design tooling and fixtures for manufacturing by collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineering teams. Assists in creating, modifying and revising manufacturing work instructions and process flow documentation. Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions. Understands and practices TOC and Lean initiatives in daily work. All other duties as assigned.
2.0 Requirements
2.1 Education
AAS degree or equivalent, in a technical discipline; mechanical or manufacturing engineering preferred. 2.2 Experience
One to three years’ experience providing technical support in a manufacturing environment.
2.3 Skills and Knowledge
General fabrication and assembly experience. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications. Strong multi-tasking skills. Can complete several concurrent tasks in an efficient and accurate manner. Open minded “thinker” with strong creative tendencies. Experience working in fast paced, dynamic environment, with limited supervision: selfstarter. Ability to be part of a team and communicate effectively with all levels within the
