Electronic Assembler/ Solderer

Strom Engineering Minnesota is looking for an experienced Electronic Assembler/ Solderer to work for our client company located in Maple Grove, Minnesota.

Electronic Solder Assembler

Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm / Monday through Friday
Pay: $15.00-$22.00 DOQ

We are looking for a full time Electronic Solder Assembler to join our team. This is a day shift position with hours Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week, plus overtime as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Perform stuff & solder functions to company standards and procedures.
 Work from engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, work instructions, sample boards and prints
 Use of a variety of small hand tools such as solder irons, de-solder equipment, wire strippers, crimpers, etc
 Responsible for maintaining high quality standards and workmanship.
 Surface mount
 Through-hole parts and cables
 Visual inspection to identify good and bad solder joints and perform solder rework as needed to attain conformance
 Notify management of errors on procedures, drawings, bills of material, sample boards and/or prints to the Team Leader.  Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications Education and Experience:

 HS Diploma/GED required

 Must have excellent soldering skills, minimum of 2 years soldering experience

 Recent experience in an electrical or electronics manufacturing environment

 Training in IPC Standards a plus

 Must be able to identify electronic components and perform thru-hole soldering. * Must have good hand dexterity and hand eye coordination

 Experience soldering to J-STD  Currently Certified in IPC or have been Certified in the past three years a plus  Lean manufacturing a plus Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 Ability to work safely with minimal or no direct supervision  Ability to work from verbal directions

 Ability to learn from peers  Able to read technical drawings and electrical schematics, specifications and procedures

 Ability to take constructive feedback from peers, leads and / or managers
