Strom Engineering of Minnesota has an exciting new opening for a Maintenance Manager with a great company located in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN area. Duties: * Responsible for plant maintenance department and personnel. * Responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, machinery and tools relating to manufacturing operations. * Determine schedules, sequences and assignments for work activities based upon work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel. * Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment and ensure that employees receive safety training to prevent, detect and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules. * Manages and works with day and shift maintenance supervisors to identify areas in need of additional work and necessary improvements. * Interviews and hire maintenance personnel. * Monitors employees’ work levels and reviews work performance with supervisory staff. * Perform root cause analysis to identify operational issues. * Ensure that all quality and regulatory standards/policies are met including OSHA regulations. * Develop, implement or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures. * Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor or outside contractors. * Create and manage departmental budget including annual maintenance costs and approve purchases of parts and equipment. * Provide leadership and technical support/training to departmental staff as needed. * Ensure that all plant maintenance / repair operations are conducted in a safe, controlled manner meeting company safety guidelines. Skills/Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial / Manufacturing or equivalent. * Minimum of 6 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment with at least 3 years’ of management experience. * Ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented. * Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and effectively. * Strong leadership and motivational skills. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Excellent written and verbal communications skills. * PC Proficient in (Microsoft Office). * Ability to select, coach, develop, engage and retain a team of employees. * Skill in organization, prioritization, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
