As an entry level installation technician, the primary role for this position is to install, with supervision, pre-engineered software, checkout control systems, start up and commission systems and fine tune their operations as per customer requirements and or job specifications for HVAC Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, Security CCTC and Card Access Systems and Fire Alarm Systems.
The individual will be tasked to ensure our work is installed on time and in accordance with the project design and specifications. The main function is to perform checkout and testing, functional testing and methodically troubleshoot and repair systems using both proprietary and open technologies.
Responsibilities include:
• With supervision, perform basic installation methods, startup, checkout and commissioning.
• With supervision, develop computer graphics and create Auto Cad Drawings
• Assist the engineering team on pre-engineering and estimate preparation
• Keep all project documentation and paperwork up to date.
• Learn the industry and products offered to customers by on the job training, on-line training and formal class room training.
• Troubleshoot hardware & software issues; make changes to meet specific requirements
• Have an understanding of electrical circuitry, construction environments and safe work practices
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, mechanical and control drawings
• Able to work flexible hours to accommodate project and client requirements
